The XVI GENERAL CHAPTER
of the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles
We are gradually drawing close to the end of our 16th General Chapter at Monte Cucco in Rome; which evidently marks the beginning of another era. Today, the 24th day of the Chapter was devoted to putting finishing touches to some unfinished business, and the finalization of some texts.
Prayer was led by the Irish Provincial group under the theme "Seed Sowing". It was very appropriate for the day's programme and helped us in our comprehensive evaluation of the whole Chapter proceedings including all that went into the preparatory stage.
Delegates expressed deep satisfaction for what they have experienced and lived in the past one month on this beautiful serene atmosphere at Mount Cucco. We very much felt the presence of God in our midst at every step of the journey. Our solidarity as a family; the OLA One Body was a big driving force that contributed to what we achieved together.
As the liturgical group reiterated, we see ourselves as having arrived at 'planting seeds that will one day grow' through the decisions and orientations that we arrived at. The good news is that, such seeds are not sown in vain; they are sown with and for Christ. May the master of the harvest help to nurture the seeds that we have sown as OLA One Body.
